Updates

If you have an active maintenance subscription, you warranted for the latest updates and can download the latest updates from the BarcodeOCR website.

Preparation

• Check the release notes of the new version for any instructions during the update

• Backup your current configuration by exporting them (see Configurations for more information)

• If you are using an offline license: Check if the maintenance date in the "About" dialog is updated. You can check this against the License Portal.

• Download the latest release of BarcodeOCR for your license

Updateing

1. Stop the BarcodeOCR service and close the BarcodeOCR Application

2. Start the Installer and follow the steps

3. Start BarcodeOCR

4. Check your configuration is all options and settings are migrated successfully. If there are new options, adjust accordingly to your needs.

5. Start the BarcodeOCR service, if not already started (the BarcodeOCR logo will color to green)

6. Check the error log for any entries

   1. If you receive an error regarding missing permissions, please configure BarcodeOCR for network usage: Configuration within a network

If an error occurs or if the documents won't be processed the usual way, please check if there is already a solution for your problem.
