The first configuration
BarcodeOCR is a Windows service which works in the background and constantly monitors predefined folders. For configuration purposes the application needs to be launched from the Desktop or through the shortcut from within the start menu. The user interface displays the current state of the service - through the text on the left as well as through the colour of the Logo:

|---|---|
| red | The service stopped. Files are not being processed |
| yellow | The service is launching or stoping |
| green | The service is running and responds to new files, that are being put into the input folder |
Inside the right side of the user interface, the configurations are listed with which the BarcodeOCR service monitors folders and processes files. Create your first configuration by pressing "New". If a file is being processed, you will see the current progress in the program window.
