Changes​

  • Improved: The file size of TIFF files is now optimized automatically (server operating systems only).
  • Changed: The BarcodeOCR main window can now be enlarged vertically.
  • Changed: The service is not restarted after a configuration has been edited if it was stopped before.
  • Changed: Configurations are now shown sorted alphabetically (A–Z).
  • Fixed: Values for "Threshold" under ADVANCED were overwritten when a configuration was edited again.
  • Fixed: On some systems, a problem with the software license could occur after a certain period of use.

Changes​

  • New: Support for Aztec barcodes.
  • New: Split option "Separate stacks independently of barcodes into partial stacks with n pages (barcodes will still be considered when renaming)".
  • Changed: If processing of a file is aborted because of the processing limit, the file is now stored as TIMEOUT instead of CORRUPT_FILE.
  • Changed: The processing limit per file was raised from 15 to 60 minutes (with an option under ADVANCED for 90 minutes or to disable the limit).
  • Changed: The "Replace NTFS non-compliant characters" feature also replaces line breaks within the barcode.
  • Improved: Recognition of Intelligent Mail barcodes.
  • Improved: Recognition of Interleaved 2of5 barcodes.
  • Fixed: Error in the user interface when selecting subfolder generation.
  • Fixed: A TIFF file was not saved in the error folder.
  • Fixed: Reading problems with TIFF files whose frame pages contain no metadata.
  • Fixed: Problems passing special characters in the configuration name to downstream .bat scripts.
  • Fixed: Subfolders were not created when a single-page image was processed.
  • Fixed: JPEG images with the file extension .jpeg instead of .jpg were ignored.
  • Fixed: Error messages about PowerShell scripts in the log, although no script is to be run according to the configuration.
  • Fixed: In rare cases, the service was not restarted automatically despite clicking "Restart".

18.2.3 – May 4, 2018​

Changes​

  • New: Custom OCR settings can now be set per configuration.
  • Fixed: The page number in the PowerShell script or the info XML did not match the recognized text if the input document had more than 50 pages.
  • Fixed: On some systems, cleaning up the temporary folder caused an error, and the input file was not deleted.
  • Fixed: Error in the user interface.

Changes​

  • Fixed: The subfolder was not created if the complete barcode content was to be used as the subfolder.
  • Fixed: When using the PowerShell script, a counter variable was incremented incorrectly.
  • Fixed: The downstream application might not start if the barcode contained special characters.

Changes​

  • New: PowerShell: NumberOfRemovedPages parameter, which passes the number of pages removed by blank page detection.
  • Fixed: PowerShell: the NumberOfPages parameter contained the wrong number of pages if blank page detection had removed pages.
  • Fixed: The maintenance end date was shown with incorrect formatting for some licenses.

Changes​

  • New: Support for the "Essentials" subscription.
  • Fixed: Blank page detection did not remove documents with a factor of 0.
  • Fixed: If the first page of a batch was recognized as a blank page, an error could occur when saving if the target document had only one page.

18.1.2 – February 23, 2018​

Changes​

  • New: Support for subscriptions.
  • Fixed: In individual cases, with a defective PDF file, the input file was deleted during saving instead of being moved to the error folder as Corrupt_File.
  • Fixed: Font problems in processed files that were saved as PDF by Microsoft Word.
  • Changed: The trial version without watermark can now process 5000 pages per month.

  • Fixed: Problems re-enabling the trial version with a special license key from support.
  • Fixed: The PowerShell script for determining the file name was ignored without a subfolder variable.
  • Fixed: Error in the user interface.

  • Improved: Recognition of QR codes with a logo (design QR codes).
  • Improved: Incompatible files remain in the input folder and are not moved to the error folder as incompatible files.
